Arizona Farm and Ranch Museum and Hall of Fame Introduces the Legacy Scholarship

Empowering Future Generations in Agriculture and Leadership

BUCKEYE, AZ (December 1, 2024)—The Arizona Farm and Ranch Museum and Hall of Fame (AZFAR) is thrilled to introduce the Arizona Farm and Ranch Legacy Scholarship. This new initiative promises to shape the future of the next generation of leaders in Arizona agriculture. This scholarship program is designed to aid students who aspire to lead in environmental science, sustainable land management, food management, agribusiness, biology, animal science, and other related agricultural fields or trades that support agriculture, such as welding, sheet metal workers, drivers, or equipment operators.

Through the Arizona Farm and Ranch Legacy Scholarship, AZFAR will help students cultivate the knowledge and skills necessary to manage and preserve Arizona's valuable agricultural heritage. The application is open to Arizona high school seniors who demonstrate a solid commitment to the farming and ranching community and a dedication to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

“We recognize the importance of supporting youth who will carry Arizona’s rich agricultural heritage forward,” said Amber Owens, Board President at the Arizona Farm and Ranch Museum. “With this scholarship, we hope to foster leadership and inspire a new generation dedicated to innovative, sustainable practices that honor our land and traditions.”

Scholarship recipients will receive financial support for tuition, books, and other educational expenses. In addition, they will have opportunities to connect with industry mentors at the prestigious Hall of Fame dinner on March 22, 2025, at the Sheraton Grand Wild Horse Pass (Phoenix), where they will be recognized.

Applications for the scholarship will be accepted from December 1, 2024, through February 1, 2025, with awards announced on March 1, 2025. The application and criteria are available at www.azfarmandranch.org/legacy-scholarship.

The Arizona Farm and Ranch Museum warmly invites individuals, corporations, and community partners to support this vital scholarship program. Your contributions will be a testament to our shared commitment to sustainable agriculture and will ensure that Arizona’s farming and ranching legacy continues to thrive.
